August 5th-8th -- For the third year, GfH will have a booth in the Exhibitors' Hall at the Gen Con gaming convention, August 5th-8th in Indianapolis, IN. Last year we had quite a good time, getting to know a lot of you in person, hosting another successful game drive, and presiding over an excellent card house building contest.

The welcome and support we have received from the attendees and other vendors at the convention has been wonderful, and interest is rising through the gaming community both in what we do, and in non-profit work in general.

'Mardi Gras' is the theme for this year's booth, so come drop by to grab some beads and carry a little Big Easy spirit with you through the Con. Remember as well to bring along those old games you no longer play--we'll be collecting again this year, in part for our new GfH Game Library program. There are a lot of good people who'd love to play the games you haven't dusted off in years.

One of our goals is to enable others to find volunteer work in their own communities, even if we don't have a presence there. With that in mind, feel free to contact us if there is anything you'd like to see at our booth. We'll have a list of all the Habitat for Humanity chapters in North America, as well as other sources of community involvement. Tell us what else you'd like to see, and we'll do our best.

Call For Volunteers-- We also still need a few people willing to volunteer at our booth. An hour or two here, an hour or two there...we're flexible with your schedule. All you need is a willingness to talk to people about what is it that we do. The request includes tear-down as well, so if the only time you have available is Sunday after the Con is over, we'll still take you. Let us know if you'd like to help.
