Game Library

New Program! -- Gamers for Humanity is proud to announce our new partnership with the Habitat for Humanity chapters of Greater Indianapolis (Indianapolis, IN) and Iowa Valley (Iowa City, IA): our new Game Library. GfH will be providing a small library of games for families who receive a house through Habitat in the Indianapolis and Iowa City areas. The libraries will consist primarily of family games--games intended to help bring the family together in their new home.

What this means is that we will continue to need your help in this area, as we will need to ramp up our game collection drives--we need to collect the games that we will be giving to the families. We will accept both new and used games, although we would request that the used games be complete (all parts and rules included) and in reasonable condition.

We will be collecting games once again at Gen Con this year, and we are always willing to accept shipments of games year-round.

The amount of games we are able to keep on hand will determine the number of families we are able to include in the Game Library program. Habitat-Indy estimates that they will build 25 new homes in 2010, and Iowa Valley Habitat has 7 on the schedule. We would love to include them all in this program. We are shooting for 4-6 games per family, which means that we could use 100-150 games this year.
